| The
Pathways School - Crossland Re-Entry is a program which provides
academic, therapeutic, and transition services for up to thirty high
school students, male or female, with emotional disabilities in order
to facilitate the student's integration into classrooms at Crossland
High School. Primary consideration is given to students who
are applying for admission from The Pathways Schools' Springville
Re-Entry program. Crossland Re-Entry staff work closely with
Springville Re-Entry staff to ensure the transition success of eligible
students. Other eligible Prince George's County students may
also be considered on an individual basis. Crossland
Re-Entry's focus is to provide support services that will facilitate
the student's return to the regular classroom. The number of
mainstreamed classes is gradually increased to full-time as the student
demonstrates the ability to successfully adjust to and function in the
larger environment.
Students:
The
Pathways School - Crossland Re-Entry admits students who are:
- high
school students, ages 13-19, who are Prince George's County residents
- identified
in need of intensive special education services
- motivated
to return to public school and receive a Maryland high school diploma
- have
exhibited academic/behavior/social skills success in prior placement

Pathways School - Crossland Re-Entry program is located at
Crossland High School, Temple
Hills, Maryland. Within the high school, Pathways
has designated classrooms and space. Transitioning students
have use of Crossland's facilities and participate in Crossland's
extracurricular activities.

curriculum with classroom instruction that will satisfy state and
county requirements for a Maryland high school
diploma. Crossland Re-Entry students are provided the
therapeutic and academic support to successfully transition to public
high school.
