Middle school in Hyattsville:
.                  Para - educator. Teaching/ intensive aide position.
Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's Degree in education or a related field (such as criminal justice). Experience with youth in individual or group settings is preferred as is working with children with severe emotional disabilities.
Compensation: Entry level; Position is full-time, follows the academic calendar.
High school program within Crossland High School in Temple Hills:
.                  Instructor. High school mathematics. Position includes some
administrative and supervisory duties.
Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor's Degree and have or be eligible for MSDE certification. Two years or more experience working with adolescents with severe emotional disabilities is preferred as is experience teaching secondary mathematics.
Compensation: commensurate with education, certification, and experience
.                  Licensed Social Worker/Counselor. Responsibilities include
providing individual therapy to students in assigned caseload and group therapy as necessary to meet individual student needs and program objectives.
Qualifications: Must be at least LGSW or LCPC. Experience in school setting preferred.

Positions at Pathways
TEACHER:
DUTIES
Conduct academic and/or work experience
program(s) to meet the student's academic/vocational needs as
stated in the objectives of the student's IEP. Some examples
of duties and responsibilities include in part: planning,
implementing and evaluating individual, small and large group
instruction; assessing student academic skills and behavioral
skills in collaboration with program therapists and principals
and setting individual behavioral goals; reporting student
progress; maintaining student records; and developing student
IEP goals and objectives.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor's in Special Education with an emphasis on emotional and/or behavior disorders
and meet Maryland state teacher's certification requirements or Bachelor's degree with commitment
to obtain and maintain certification which meet Maryland state teacher's certification requirements.
Experience
Student teaching or two years
of successful teaching experience working with students with
emotional and/or behavior disorders
preferred.
THERAPIST:
DUTIES
Cooperatively develop and implement a
program of individual, group and family therapy for an
assigned individual student caseload. Function as the case
manager for each student in the assigned caseload. These
responsibilities are met through consulting and collaborating
with other agencies, schools, parents, community resources and
Pathways staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Master's Degree in school psychology, clinical psychology, counseling or social
work and meet Maryland certification requirements as counselor or social worker.
Experience
Two years of group, individual and/or
family therapy experience with at least one year in a school
or clinical setting providing services to children and/or
adolescents with emotional and/or behavior
disorders.
PARA-PROFESSIONAL:
Support staff positions at Pathways require either a high school diploma or a Bachelor's Degree,
preferably in special education or related field (education, psychology, social work, criminology, etc.).
Experience working with adolescents or children in group settings is preferred.
SUBSTITUTE TEACHERS:
Pathways has an ongoing need for substitute teachers. These temporary positions require a
Bachelor's Degree and experience with adolescents or children in group settings.
